Positive Health Classification Framework
PHCF Learning Centre

Learn the framework.
Use it with care.

The PHCF Learning Centre connects the public framework, classification manual and practical learning environment. Use this page as your starting point, then enter the Moodle learning space when you are ready to work through the material.

The learning environment currently opens on the dedicated Moodle site. Use the PHCF return link inside the Learning Centre to come back to the main framework website.

01 / Two connected spaces

Read here. Learn there.

The PHCF website and Learning Centre serve different purposes. The public website explains the framework, its evidence position, classification context, publications and development. The Learning Centre provides a guided environment for working through PHCF concepts and applying them in a structured way.

Public PHCF website

Framework, manual and evidence.

Use the main website when you want definitions, publications, classification context, current development material and downloadable PHCF resources.

PHCF Learning Centre

Guided learning and application.

Enter the Moodle environment when you want to work through the learning pathway and engage with the framework as a course rather than as a reference site.

02 / Suggested pathway

Start with the proposition. Then build the classification logic.

01Understand the rationale

Begin with why PHCF was developed and how positive-health information is intended to complement diagnosis, symptoms, risk, functioning, quality of life and formulation.

02Learn the architecture

Work through the Universal Core and the distinctions between Current Positive Health State, Positive Health Capacities, Demonstrated Adaptation and Protective Resource Ecology.

03Apply the framework

Use examples, classification guidance and structured recording activities to practise identifying evidence without turning PHCF into a judgement of personal worth.

04Return to the evidence

Use the public site, manual and research pages to check definitions, limitations and the developmental status of the framework.

Enter when ready

The Learning Centre is the guided route into PHCF.

Open the Moodle environment to continue. When you need the framework, manual, evidence pages or publications, use the return link in the Learning Centre header to move back to the main PHCF site.

03 / Appropriate use

Learning supports the framework. It does not replace professional judgement.

PHCF Learning is provided for education, research, reflection and appropriate professional development. The framework does not replace established diagnostic systems, clinical assessment, professional judgement, supervision, treatment planning or applicable professional and regulatory requirements.

The PHCF is developmental. Concepts, terminology, classification guidance and supporting resources may change as the framework develops and evidence accumulates.
